Question: Describe a key moment that shocked or surprised you in the written text. Explain how this moment was important to the text as a whole.

Introduction:
Tomorrow, when the war began was written by a man named John Marsden. From my argument to my statements, I hope you find this interesting. Marsden wrote this book in 1993 and has also written 5 to 6 more to the tomorrow series. Tomorrow, when the war began is a story that has been a very frustrating, exciting, and sad book at the same time. There were parts in the book that were interesting, like the Hermit, or there were sad times were Ellie had killed the soldier in the lawn mower accident. But altogether, it was awesome.

Body:
When they decided to blow up the bridge, I was shocked, but most of all surprised. They were taking action, they were proving not only to the invaders but to themselves that they were capable of something. Homer was the one to come up with the idea, by him saying," can we just go up to the Heron?, I want to have a look at something." They had gone to the heron,(the river, which is under the bridge) and looked out, to see what was happening. Homer had said after a bit " Let's blow it up" and so they were going to. with this Homer showed the same real courage, responsibility, and most of all honor.

When Ellie and Fiona went to get the tanker, Ellie felt ' Nervous being paired with Fiona', but she knew she would have to get over it. when the made it to 'Churr's blue star fuel and oil distributors,' they had to use their teamwork skills. I personally, was very intrigued by the way they found and got it to, go under the bridge. Shocked and surprised also. When the girls see some sentries coming along, they jump out and made a run for the tree line. The sentries didn't even see the tanker, and just continued moving forward. Now this part surprised me, because, wouldn't you notice a big tanker they're, (I differently would have.) But Ellie and Fiona made it to the bridge and blew it to pieces.

When Homer and lee were to gather the cows to clear the bridge of any soldiers, Homer had to help lee out, with herding the cows, he had told him to 'hiss' at them because they don't like snakes. All the well, Ellie and Fiona were having a heart to heart conversation. fiona had started to talk about homer saying," He's like two people, He's shy with me but confident when he's in a group. But he kissed me on Monday and I think that broke the ice a bit. I thought he'd never do it. In the book I never really thought that falling in love would have been impossible, well boy was I wrong. Lee and Ellie, then Homer and Fiona, Kevin and Corrie were already together.

Conclusion:
My conclusion would have to be, that, I was shocked and surprised right throughout the howl book. But I've also gotta say, that the book is way better than the movie.
